Exide Batteries

Our shop, Exide Batteries, is located on G B Road near S P Mukharji Marg, at address 1651. This is one of the most crowded parts of the city, with trucks and cars constantly moving past our door. We deal with all kinds of batteries, from the small ones for cars to the very large ones used for home inverters. These units are extremely heavy, so moving them around the shop is a daily workout for me. The air inside always has that sharp smell of battery acid and metal. We have rows and rows of black battery casings on the floor and on heavy-duty shelves. A lot of our work involves testing old batteries to see if they can still hold a charge or if they need to be replaced. I often have grease and dirt under my fingernails from working on vehicle terminals. Customers usually come in when they are having a bad day because their car won't start or their power is out at home. We try to help them out as quickly as we can. It’s a noisy and somewhat dirty environment because of all the traffic and the nature of the products. We’ve been at this location for a long time, so we are used to the chaos of G B Road. It’s not a fancy place, just a practical shop where we handle power solutions for the local people and businesses. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day while the traffic passes.
