Espak Batteries

Down in Patel Nagar West at C-153, you’ll find Espak Batteries. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking closely because there are so many shops on this block. We mostly have stacks of black and grey battery casings piled up near the entrance. The smell of lead and some cleaning chemicals is always around. It’s a heavy job, lifting these things all day. We spend a lot of time checking voltages and making sure the terminals are clean. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be organized with the shelves. We’ve got an old workbench in the back where we do most of the testing. Most of our day is spent talking to people whose cars or inverters stopped working at the worst time. They come in looking a bit stressed, and we just show them what we have in stock. We don’t have a big office or a reception area. It’s just us in our work clothes, usually with a bit of grease on our hands. The light inside is a bit dim, but it works for what we do. We’ve been at this Patel Nagar spot for quite a bit now. It’s a steady kind of work. We open the shutters, move the heavy stock around, and wait for the next person to pull up at the curb. It’s just a basic shop for people who need their power back.
