We are located in N 9 Pratap Nagar, which is a fairly quiet part of Delhi compared to the main markets. The office is on a street that gets a lot of shade in the afternoons, which is nice during the summer. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, mostly handling paperwork and talking to people about their projects. There’s always a stack of files on the main table that never seems to get smaller. Most of the staff has been together for years, so we all know how the others work. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day. The furniture is a bit dated, but it’s comfortable enough for a long day of work. People stop by to ask for advice or just to drop off documents. It gets a bit hectic around the end of the month when everything needs to be filed and checked. The neighbor’s dog usually barks whenever the mail arrives or someone new walks past. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, so we see the neighborhood kids playing after school. It’s not a high-tech setup, just a few computers and a lot of printed papers. We try to keep the door open when it’s not too dusty outside. It feels like a regular part of the community here in Pratap Nagar. Nothing fancy, just a group of people working at their desks and making sure the details are right. We have an old clock that chimed every hour until it broke last year.
