We are located in Nehru Place, right in the middle of all the noise and people. If you know Delhi, you know how busy this area gets with all the computer shops and offices. Our space is in 1516 and 1517, up on the higher floors. Working in the energy sector means we have a lot of technical documents lying around and the phones ring more than we’d like. The elevators in this building can be a real pain during the morning rush, so most of us try to get in before the crowd hits. We have a small pantry where someone is always making tea or coffee to keep us going through the afternoon slump. It gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage. Most of the day is spent on the computers or having meetings about different energy projects across the country. It is a functional space, nothing too pretty, but it works for what we do. Outside the windows, you can see the smog and the tops of other buildings for miles. We have been here for a bit now and have grown used to the constant buzz of the city right outside our door. It’s just how things are in this part of town.
