Divine Interiors Designs

We are tucked away in the Kalkaji Dda Alaknanda area. It’s a busy spot in South Delhi, and our little design space reflects that. We deal with interior designs, which sounds more glamorous than it actually is. Most of our time is spent looking at samples of laminates and trying to figure out why a particular shade of blue looks different under different lights. We go back and forth between the office and various flats in the DDA blocks nearby. It involves a lot of climbing stairs and taking notes on clipboards. We aren't into those big, polished design firms you see in magazines. We’re just local people who know how to put a room together. Sometimes we stay late because a contractor didn't show up or a shipment of plywood got stuck in traffic. It happens. We just deal with it and move on. The office is usually full of half-finished sketches and little pieces of carpet. We try to keep things organized, but when you have three projects going at once, things get a little chaotic. People come in to talk about their homes, and we just listen and try to give honest advice on what will work. It’s a straightforward way to work, and we like being in this part of town. There’s a lot of history in these buildings and we try to respect that when we're pulling out old cabinets or suggests new colors for the walls.
