Tis Hazari is a place that never really stays quiet, and being on the Main Road at K 59 means we are right in the thick of it. Dilip Kumar Singh is the name on the board, but most people just know us as the guys in the K block. The building is older and has that specific smell of paper and dust that you find in this part of town. We have a lot of traffic passing by, mostly people heading to the courts or coming from the station. The windows are usually kept closed because of the dust from the main road, but you still hear the honking all day long. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so the chaos doesn't really bother me anymore. Inside, the furniture is a bit mismatched and the floor has some scuffs from all the people coming in and out over the years. We don't have fancy brochures or a receptionist to greet you, you just walk in and talk to whoever is available. It is a very practical way of working. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we keep a few torches handy. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done. It's not a glamorous life, but it is honest work and the location is convenient for everyone.
