Our place is located in Hari Nagar Ashram, right in the thick of things in New Delhi. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how much energy is on the streets. We are at number 318, which is easy enough to find if the traffic is not too backed up. The building is not brand new, but it serves us well for what we do. Logistics in a city like Delhi is always a bit of a challenge, especially with the narrow lanes and the constant noise of horns outside. Inside the office, it is a bit calmer. We have our desks set up and we spend a lot of time tracking where things are going. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. There is always a stack of paperwork on someone’s desk because there is always something moving. We do not have much in the way of fancy furniture. It is mostly just metal cupboards and sturdy tables. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a relief in July. We have been in this spot for some time and the locals know us. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions because of where we are situated. We just point them the right way and get back to our computers. It is a busy life, but it is what we know. We just focus on the day’s tasks and go home.
