Devendra Pal

This is the spot for Devendra Pal, located right inside the Patiala House Courts at room number 517. Being in the court complex means things are always moving fast around here. There are people rushing through the hallways with files and the sound of typing never really stops. I spend most of my day sitting at the desk or standing in the corridors waiting for things to happen. The room itself is typical for this building, with old shelves and plenty of documents stacked up. It isn't a quiet place, especially when the hearings are going on and the crowds get thick. We see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are stressed, others are just waiting. We try to keep things organized but with so much paperwork, it is a constant job. The canteen nearby is where I usually grab a quick tea when there is a break. Most of the other folks around here know where 517 is because we have been in this specific corner for a good bit of time. It is a long walk from the main gate, but it is a good spot once you get settled in for the day. We don't have fancy lights or leather chairs. It is just a workspace where the daily grind happens. Life in the courts is predictable in some ways and completely chaotic in others. That is just how it is for us every week.
