Devendra Choubey

My name is Devendra Choubey and I operate out of 17 Pratap Nagar in Mayur Vihar Phase I. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the markets. I have a small room set aside for my work. It’s got a window that looks out onto the street, so I can see people walking their dogs or kids coming home from school. I’ve been in Mayur Vihar for a long time and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It feels safe and familiar. My work isn't anything flashy. I just handle the things that people bring to me. I try to be careful and take my time so I don't make mistakes. Sometimes my neighbors stop by to ask for help with something small, and I don't mind. That’s what being part of a neighborhood is about. Number 17 is easy to spot if you are walking down the lane. I don't have a big sign or anything, just the house number. I think people appreciate that it’s a more personal way of doing business. I usually start my day with a cup of coffee and look over what needs to be done. The mornings are the best time because it’s cool and I can think clearly. If you need me, I’m generally around during the week. Just knock on the door at 17 and I’ll hear you. I try to stay organized but life gets busy.
