Deva Plastics & Metals

Down in Chittaranjan Park at E-885, that’s where Deva Plastics & Metals is set up. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than an industrial zone, but we still keep busy. We handle a mix of plastic items and some metal parts too. The backyard is where we store most of the heavier metal scraps. It’s a bit of a jumble back there, to be honest. Inside, we have a few workbenches that have seen better days. They’re covered in scratches and old oil stains. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We know the regulars who live around here and sometimes they stop by just to say hello. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the bins. Every now and then, we have to do a big clear-out to make room for new arrivals. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some basic tools and our hands. The tea stall around the corner is where we get our morning break. It’s a simple operation and we don’t try to make it look fancy. We just focus on the materials and the orders we have to finish soon. There is always a pile of something waiting to be sorted or weighed out. We like the quiet of CR Park and the way the light hits the street in the afternoon.
