Up in North Delhi, we are situated at F 7 6 in Model Town 2. It’s a decent area, though the parking can be a total nightmare if you arrive after ten in the morning. Deutsche Bank Ag has this space here to serve the people in the 110 009 zip code. The building is a typical Model Town structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s just a standard office with rows of desks and some very tired-looking chairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with various bank forms. The winters get really chilly, so we’re all bundled up in sweaters, and the summers are the exact opposite with the AC working overtime. It’s a very local feel here. We know the people at the nearby shops and the regulars who walk past our windows every day. We don’t do any of that fancy corporate talk; we just tell people what they need to know about their money. The office can get a bit cluttered with folders, and sometimes the printer jams right when we’re in a hurry. That’s just how it goes. Most of the staff live nearby, so we have a good sense of what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a practical, no-nonsense place to work. We just show up, do the banking tasks, and head home like anyone else in Delhi, keeping the paperwork moving day by day.
