Delhi Biochemical Research Laboratory

The Delhi Biochemical Research Laboratory is located in Darya Ganj on Ansari Road at 4874 24. This part of the city is always crowded and full of energy but once you step inside our space things quiet down quite a bit. It is an old area with a lot of history and our building reflects that too. We aren't one of those high-tech laboratories you see in movies with blue lights and glass walls. Instead we have sturdy benches old wooden cupboards and lots of glassware that we’ve used for years. Every day is about testing and looking at samples under the microscope. There is usually a faint smell of chemicals in the air which you get used to after a few minutes. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to polish up how we look. It’s mostly just us in our lab coats doing the work that needs to be done. Sometimes we spend the whole day on just one experiment and it can be a bit tedious but that is how research goes. The windows look out onto the busy street and you can hear the horns honking while we work. It’s a contrast between the chaos outside and the focus we need inside. We take our notes by hand or on the old office computer. It is a simple place where we value the results more than the appearance of the office.
