We operate out of W-B575 in Ashok Vihar Phase IV. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to some other parts of Delhi, which we actually like. Our place at Deity Sales is basically a warehouse and a small front desk area where we handle daily sales. We sell various goods and it keeps us on our toes. The shelves are usually stacked pretty high with boxes of all sizes. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but we always get there eventually. We aren't into that high-pressure sales stuff you see in big malls. We just tell people what we have and what it costs. Most of our regulars are from the nearby neighborhoods or people who have been buying from us for a decade. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so we usually have to bring things out to the front to show them off properly. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend our breaks. It's a small operation, just a couple of us doing the lifting and the paperwork. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; some stuff is still written down in ledgers because it's easier. Ashok Vihar has a nice feel to it, and being in Phase IV means we aren't stuck in the middle of a massive traffic jam every single day. It’s a good place to run a business like ours. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though the reception isn't great.
