Deepak Power Storage Enterprises

Deepak Power Storage Enterprises is our family business over at Barakhamba Road. We are inside the Indra Prakash building. It’s a very central location in Delhi, so we get all kinds of people coming in. We focus on power storage, which basically means we sell and fix batteries and inverters. My father started this back when power cuts were a daily problem for everyone. Now, things have improved, but people still need back-ups for their offices and homes. The office isn't very large, but it’s packed with different types of batteries. It’s a bit of a maze in the back room where we keep the heavy stock. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished sales pitches. We just talk to people and help them figure out what kind of battery they need. It’s hard work because those things are incredibly heavy. We often have to use a trolley just to move one unit across the room. Being in the Indra Prakash building means we are surrounded by lawyers and consultants, but we are just the battery guys. We’ve been here for a long time and the building staff all know us. We are usually here from Monday to Saturday. It’s a steady business and we like being in the heart of the city. We’ve been at Indra Prakash for many years now and it feels like home.
