Deepak Arora

This is the office of Deepak Arora at Tis Hazari, room number 192. It’s a bit different from the other rooms because of where it sits in the building. To get here, you have to navigate through the crowds of clerks and litigants that fill the hallways every day. Room 192 is my base of operations. It’s a busy spot where we manage a lot of different files and legal papers. The walls are lined with cabinets, and honestly, we’re running out of space for all the new documents. The atmosphere at Tis Hazari is always intense, especially when the courts are in full swing. I usually arrive early to get a head start before the noise really picks up. My desk is usually a mess of notes and open books, but I know where everything is. We have a couple of chairs for clients, though they are often covered in folders until someone needs to sit down. It’s a very grounded way of working. There are no fancy lights or receptionists in suits. It’s just me and my staff working through the piles of work. We get our lunch from the nearby stalls and keep going until the light starts to fade. Being in room 192 means being right in the middle of the legal action. It’s a demanding environment, but it’s what I’ve known for years, and we just keep at it day after day. You learn to ignore the noise and just focus on the paperwork in front of you.
