Deepak Agrawal

I'm Deepak Agrawal and you can usually find me at Bhagat Singh Market near the Supreme Court. It is a very busy area, as you can imagine, with people running around all the time with files and black coats. My office is tucked away in the market, and it’s a bit cramped because there’s just so much paperwork to keep track of. Every morning I come in, try to clear a space on my desk, and get started on whatever came in the day before. The market has its own rhythm, with tea sellers moving around and the constant sound of people talking about their cases. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or expensive art on the walls. It’s just a working space with shelves full of documents and a phone that rings more often than I’d like. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we all just sit there waiting for the generator to kick in. The location near the Supreme Court means everything is always urgent, but I try to take it one step at a time. I’ve been at Bhagat Singh Market for a long time, so I’ve seen it change quite a bit. Despite the noise and the crowd, it’s where I get my work done. I usually stay until late, especially when the courts are in full session and there’s a lot to catch up on. It's just a regular office life.
