We’ve been here in Chawri Bazar for quite some time now. Our shop is located at 3512, Gali Hakim Baqa, right in the thick of the Hauz Qazi area. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for all sorts of hardware. We spend most of our mornings just moving boxes around and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a tight space, but we manage. People come in looking for specific tools, and sometimes they don't even know the exact name, so we help them find it by looking through our shelves. The fans are always running because it gets really hot in these narrow lanes. We mostly deal with hand tools and things like that. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but that is just how business goes here. My father used to say that a good tool is worth its weight in gold, and we try to keep that in mind when we stock up. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the traffic outside, so we have to wait around for a long time. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or glass doors. Just a regular shop where we drink tea and talk to the regulars who have been buying from us for years. We just try to keep things moving. It's just the way things are in this part of town.
