Dalip Rana

Being over here at Tis Hazari Main Road, things are always moving fast. This is the L 24 spot and Dalip Rana has been the name on the door for a long time. It’s a busy area, especially with all the people coming and going near the courts and the main road. The dust from the street gets in sometimes so we spend a lot of time wiping down the tables. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just a few of us working through the piles of things we have to get through. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over a few cups in the afternoon and that’s usually the highlight of the day. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we haven't really gotten around to it yet. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been stopping by for years. We know their names and they know ours. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't try to be something we aren't. If you walk past L 24, you'll see us just sitting there working away. It’s a simple life and we like the location because it’s close to everything we need. There is always someone shouting outside or a horn honking, but that is just Delhi for you.
