The Consortium Of New Age Agripreneurs is basically a group of people interested in the farming business but from a modern angle. Being in New Delhi means we aren't always in the fields, but we spend a lot of time connecting with those who are. The apartment serves as our main hub where we discuss different agricultural ventures and how to make them work better. It gets a little cramped when everyone shows up for a meeting, but we make it work with enough chai and snacks. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding crop cycles and market prices. It is an interesting mix of city life and rural interests. Some of the neighbors probably wonder why we talk so much about seeds and soil in the middle of Delhi. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We are just trying to figure out how to make farming more viable for the younger generation. The Kalkaji area is quite lively, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We stay focused on the tasks at hand, which usually involves a lot of emailing and coordinating with farmers across the country. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but it feels like honest work. We enjoy the challenge of mixing technology with traditional farming.
