Color Plast

We are based out in the Bawana Industrial Area, specifically at C-79 in Sector 5, Daryapur Kalan. It’s quite a trek to get out here, but this is where the work happens for Color Plast. The industrial area is massive and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the sector numbers. Our unit is a standard industrial shed. It’s noisy because of the machines and the other businesses nearby. We spend our days managing the production and making sure things are being made correctly. The floor is usually covered in materials. It’s a tough environment, especially when it’s hot, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We have a small office tucked away in the corner where we handle the invoices and calls. It’s nothing like those offices you see in the city center. Here, it’s all about the manufacturing. We eat our lunch together at a small table near the entrance. Most of us have been working here for a long time. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. It’s a steady rhythm. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high in the sky. There’s no big marketing team here, just us making things. We focus on the daily output and trying to keep everything running without any breakdowns. It’s a practical way to live and work in this part of Delhi.
