Working at RU 57 in Pitam Pura is an interesting experience because of how busy this part of Delhi can get. The office is located in a spot that is easy enough to get to if you use the metro. It’s a standard commercial space, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside or the inside. We have our desks, some computers that have seen better days, and a lot of folders. The room is usually filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional phone ringing. Pitam Pura has a lot of markets and residential areas nearby, so there is a constant flow of people in the streets. We often grab lunch from one of the local spots nearby, which makes the workday a bit better. The atmosphere in the office is pretty relaxed despite the amount of work we have to get through for Citigroup Australia. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated processes. We just try to stay on top of the tasks and make sure the records are kept straight. It can be a bit chaotic during the peak seasons, but we just put our heads down and get through it. There is no corporate gloss here. It’s just a group of people working together in a corner of Delhi, trying to keep things moving. We value the fact that we can just be ourselves while we work. It’s a simple life here in the office.
