Our setup is over in RK Puram, Sector I, right at house number 903. It’s actually the residence of Narayan Singh, but we use it as our base for the construction company. It’s not one of those corporate offices with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find me or one of the supervisors sitting around a table with a bunch of blueprints and maps. The room is always a bit dusty because of all the site visits we do. We have boots sitting by the door and helmets hanging on the wall. Construction is a noisy business, and there’s always someone calling about cement deliveries or labor issues. We’ve been working around New Delhi for years, so we know how hard it is to get anything built on time with all the regulations. It’s a lot of paperwork and running around to different government offices. My phone battery never lasts the whole day because I’m always coordinating between the site and the suppliers. We don't really have a brochure to hand out. If you want to see what we do, you just have to look at the buildings we’ve finished in the neighborhood. It’s a tough way to make a living, but seeing a wall go up where there was nothing before is a good feeling. We just keep at it, day after day, trying to stay on schedule.
