Chaudhary Foam

People usually find us because we’re right here in Dev Nagar near Khalsa College. It’s a busy spot in Karol Bagh, so there is always noise from the street. My brother and I have been at this 5809 4B address for quite some time now. The space is mostly filled with foam rolls and some mattress supplies we keep on the racks. It gets pretty cramped when a new shipment comes in. You have to walk around the big stacks just to get to the back where we keep the ledger. We don't have air conditioning, so the ceiling fan just spins all day. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to sit under the fan for a bit. The road outside, Pyare Lal Road, is always under some kind of repair it seems. Dust gets on everything, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the plastic covers. It’s just us here most days, making sure things get moved to where they need to go. We don’t really do fancy displays. If you want to see a specific density of foam, we just pull a piece out from the pile. It's a bit of a workout moving those heavy blocks around every morning. My back usually hurts by five o’clock, but that’s just how it is. We take a lunch break when the street quietens down a little. It’s not a big operation, just a local shop in a busy part of town.
