You’ll find us at 99 A 6 Street No 6 in Zakir Nagar. This is where the Cerebra Research team works, being the equity research arm of First Global. It’s not a flashy office building in a business park; it’s right here in the neighborhood in New Delhi. The street is usually pretty narrow and filled with cars and people going about their day. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a lot of computers. We spend our time looking at data and trying to make sense of the markets. There’s a ceiling fan that makes a clicking sound on the medium setting, so we mostly leave it on high. It’s just one of those things you stop noticing after a while. It can get pretty quiet when everyone is focused, though you can still hear the sounds of the street outside. We have books and papers piled up on almost every desk. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have everyone in at the same time. We don't have a canteen, so we usually just order something from the local shops or bring our own tiffin. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to it yet. We aren't worried about how the place looks to outsiders because we’re mostly busy with the numbers anyway. It’s a plain, hardworking environment where we just get on with the research. It’s simple, honest work in a part of Delhi that feels very lived-in.
