Our team is based in Flat No 663 at the Metro View Apartments, Pkt B, Sec 13 in Dwarka, New Delhi. It is exactly what the name says—you can see the metro from here. We are the Centre For Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt Ltd. Working out of an apartment complex might seem different, but it suits our style. It’s a bit more personal than a cold office block. We’ve turned the flat into a proper working space with all our equipment. The view of the trains going by is a constant part of our day. It’s a busy society, so there is always some movement in the hallways or down in the courtyard. We stay focused on the Indian economy, though. The data doesn't sleep, so neither do we, mostly. We have our desks lined up and the wires are tucked away as best as we can. It’s a practical way to run things in a city as crowded as Delhi. Sector 13 is a good spot because it’s well-connected. We don't have a fancy lobby or a guard at a front desk just for us. You just come up to the flat. It feels like a small family business even though the work we do is quite broad in scope. We like the light that comes in through the windows in the afternoon while we finish our reports.
