Central Electricity Authority

The Central Electricity Authority has an office at E 3 Kirti Nagar in New Delhi. If you know the 110 015 area code, you know it is a busy part of the city. We have been here in this building for many years, and it definitely looks like it. There are stacks of files and old reports everywhere you look. It is a government office, so things move at their own pace. We spend our days looking at power data and dealing with electricity matters for the region. The furniture is old and the fans hum quite loudly in the summer heat of Delhi. Kirti Nagar is a place with a lot of shops and houses, so there is always a lot of activity outside our windows. We don't really do any promotion or advertising because that is not what we are about. We are just here to do the job we were given. People come in with all sorts of questions about electricity, and we do what we can to give them the right information. The tea lady comes by twice a day. That is usually the highlight of the afternoon for most of us. It is a very plain environment, but it serves its purpose for the work we have to do. We are just a group of staff members trying to keep the electricity records straight and make sure everything is where it should be.
