Our office, Canara Hsbc Obc Life Insurance Company, is just a regular place where we deal with life insurance every day. It is not a very big space, but it is enough for the few of us who work here. The air can get a bit heavy because of the industrial surroundings, but we are used to it by now. We spend our mornings sorting through files and our afternoons talking to people who come in with questions about their policies. Most of the people we see are workers from nearby or families from the local area. We do not put on any acts or try to sound more important than we are. We just sit at our wooden desks and try to make sense of the paperwork. Sometimes the computers act up or the phones won't stop ringing, but we just take it one task at a time. It is a practical environment. We do not have any posters about missions or visions on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few notes pinned up. It is a place for work and we just focus on getting the insurance details sorted for whoever walks through the door because that is what they expect from us. We have been here for a while and like the routine.
