British High Commission

This office of the British High Commission is located in Lajpat Nagar 4, specifically at C 8 on the 2nd floor of the Old Double Story buildings. Being in New Delhi 24 means it’s always a bit crowded outside with the markets and everything going on nearby. We’ve been up here on the second floor for some time now, handling the daily flow of people who have business with the UK. It’s a practical space, not too big, but it fits what we need to do. We spend our days going through applications, talking to people about their travel plans, and trying to keep the records straight. It can be a bit of a climb up the stairs if you aren't used to it, but once you’re here, it’s just a standard office environment. We handle various tasks that come down from the main headquarters, mostly focusing on the things people in this part of Delhi need. Sometimes it gets a little noisy because of the street below, but we just keep working through it. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or anything like that; it’s just desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets for all the documents we have to keep track of. People come here when they need something official done, and we do our part to help them get those papers signed or verified as quickly as the process allows for everyone who visits us in Lajpat Nagar.
