Our office is right here at RP 54 in Pitampura, New Delhi. It is not a very fancy place, but it works for us. Most days start with the sound of the traffic outside and the smell of tea from the small shop down the street. People around here are always in a hurry, so there is a lot of noise coming through the windows. We have been in this spot for a while now, and we know most of the neighbors by face. The stairs are a bit narrow, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to the staff. We don’t have any big corporate signs or anything like that, just a simple door where we do our daily work. Dealing with the heat in the summer is probably the hardest part, but we have a couple of fans that keep things moving. It is just a regular Delhi office where we handle whatever comes across our desks. Some days are busier than others, especially when there are deliveries or people stopping by to ask for directions. We try to keep things organized, though papers sometimes pile up on the corners of the tables. It is a practical space for practical work, and we don’t try to pretend it is something else. Most of us take the Metro or ride our scooters to get here, so the conversation usually starts with how bad the traffic was that morning.
