We are located in Shiv Market, right at Ajmeri Gate. If you head down Chah Indara, you’ll find us at number 2217. It’s a very old part of the city and the streets are narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting around. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of electrical stuff into the space we have. There are wires hanging from hooks and boxes piled up almost to the ceiling. It’s mostly just a few of us here every day, answering questions and pulling items off the shelves for whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and we just sit there with a flashlight until it comes back on. It’s a noisy area with all the rickshaws and people shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time untangling things or looking for that one specific fuse someone asked for. It isn't a modern showroom with bright lights. It’s just a regular place where we sell electrical gear and try to keep track of the stock in our ledgers. We know the other shopkeepers around here pretty well, and we usually share a tea in the afternoon when things slow down. It is basic work but it keeps us busy from morning until we shutter the metal doors in the evening and head home.
