If you’ve ever been to the Main Market in Sarojini Nagar, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We are right in the middle of all that chaos. It’s a tiny shop, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of stuff inside over the years. The market is always crowded with people looking for bargains, so it’s never quiet around here. We open up early to beat the main rush, though the trucks delivering goods usually block the lane anyway. It’s a family business, so there’s always an uncle or a cousin sitting behind the counter. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that hum all day. The walls are covered in shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to get most things down. It’s a bit of a workout. Sometimes we lose track of what’s in the back because it’s so packed. We’ve seen the market change a lot since we started. Many of the old shops are gone, but we’re still here in the same spot. We don't do any online selling or anything like that. People just come in, look at what we have, and we talk. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. The floor is a bit worn out from all the feet walking over it, but it adds character to the place.
