Our place is at 407 Urban Estate Phase 1 in Jalandhar. It’s a decent-sized building in a quiet part of the city. We do the Bank Of America stuff from here. Jalandhar can get incredibly hot in the summer and then really foggy in the winter, so the atmosphere in the office changes with the seasons. Phase 1 is a well-known area, so people usually don't have much trouble finding house number 407. We have a small yard in the front where a few of us park our bikes. The office is mostly one big room with desks pushed against the walls to make space in the middle. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights. It’s just a plain door with the number on it. We spend most of the morning catching up on work that came in overnight. It’s not a fast-paced environment where people are running around. It’s more of a steady, quiet kind of place. We have a tea break at eleven and another one in the afternoon. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute. It’s a very local feel, not at all like those big city offices you see on TV. We just do our jobs, keep the files organized, and try to stay cool when the sun is beating down on the roof. It’s a simple, honest way to earn a living in Jalandhar.
