Down here in Krishna Nagar, things are always moving fast. We are located at 69 70 New Layalpur, which is a busy spot especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. Bachat Retail India Ltd is basically just a place where we try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair for the people living nearby. It’s a lot of work, honestly. We spend a good chunk of our morning unloading crates and making sure everything is where it should be. The floors get dusty because of the Delhi wind, so we are always sweeping. It’s not a giant supermarket like the ones you see in the malls, but we have what most families need for their daily life. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time and we have to explain that to the regulars, which can be a bit of a headache. The staff here has been around for a while, so we know most of the faces that come through the door. It feels more like a community spot than just a store. We don't have fancy uniforms or a complicated system. If you need something, you just ask. We stay open pretty late because that’s when the rush happens. By the time we lock up at night, we’re tired, but it’s good to be part of the local scene here in Delhi 51.
