B Plastics

Our factory is at B 23 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. If you come down this way, you’ll see it’s a lot of brick buildings and heavy gates. We work with plastics, mostly making smaller items or parts that other people use for their products. The machines are old, but they still run well enough if you know how to talk to them. It gets very hot inside, especially when the molds are heating up, so we spend a lot of time near the big fans. My father started this small unit, and now I’m the one looking after the daily production and the workers. We don't have a fancy office; it’s just a desk near the front door where I keep the ledgers. Wazirpur is a busy place with a lot of dust and trucks, but it’s where all the making happens. We have piles of raw plastic pellets in the corner and finished bins ready to go out. It’s not a glamorous job, and my clothes usually have some bit of plastic or grease on them by the end of the shift. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the quality is okay for what it is. There aren't any big slogans here. We just make the stuff, pack it into bags, and wait for the transport to pick it up. It’s just regular industrial work.
