Working at Axis Bank Ltd at A 166 in Lajpat Nagar I is definitely an experience because of how lively this part of New Delhi is. There is always something happening right outside our doorstep. The noise from the market and the cars is just part of the background music for us now. We have been at this address for quite a while. The building isn't new, but it holds up well enough for what we need. Every morning, we unlock the shutters and start the machines. New Delhi summers can be tough, so we are always glad when the power stays on and the fans keep spinning. Most of the people who come to see us are from the local neighborhood. They know us by name, and we know their families. We handle a lot of small tasks, things that keep the day moving quickly. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes when there are a lot of people waiting, but we manage. You get used to the pace of Lajpat Nagar after a few weeks. It’s fast and loud, but there is a certain rhythm to it. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. We focus on the numbers and making sure every person gets what they came for. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, then checking the work again to be sure. It’s honest work in a very busy city, and we just try to keep our heads down and finish the day.
