We’ve been here at 26 Saini Enclave in New Delhi for a while now. Most mornings start with the sound of traffic outside and the heat already building up on the street. People from the neighborhood wander in, some just to ask a quick question or get something stamped. It’s a busy spot, but we try to keep things moving. There’s a certain rhythm to life here in Delhi, and our little office is just a small part of that. We know the faces of the shopkeepers nearby and the folks who live in the houses around the enclave. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the lobby, especially on Mondays when everyone seems to have something to do at the same time. We just sit at our desks and deal with what comes through the door. It isn’t fancy or anything, just a place where people get their stuff done. We’ve seen kids grow up and start their own accounts here. The fans hum overhead during the summer months, and we just keep at it. It’s mostly about the routine. You see the same people at the tea stall outside and then you see them inside here later. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It’s just work. We open up, see who needs help, and close up when the day is finished. Living and working in New Delhi means you get used to the noise and the rush, and Saini Enclave is no different. It is home.
