Auspicious Interiors. We’ve been here at 74 Main Road in Anand Nagar for a good while now. It’s right near the Delhi GPO area, so it gets pretty loud with all the traffic passing by throughout the day. If you step inside, you’ll probably see stacks of catalogs and pieces of wood trim leaning against the walls. It’s not the cleanest looking place because there is always some project going on. We spend most of our time looking at floor plans or trying to figure out why a certain color doesn't look right under the shop lights. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break, but usually, it's just us and the measurements. People from Inderlo stop in mostly because they saw the sign while stuck in traffic. We don't have a big fancy showroom with everything perfectly polished. It’s more of a workspace where we figure out how to make a room look decent without spending a fortune. Most days are just about answering the phone and making sure the workers arrived at the site on time. It gets dusty, especially in the summers when we leave the door open for a bit of air. We aren't trying to be some high-end studio from a magazine. We just handle the interiors for local houses and offices around here. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the main road.
