Ashok Kumar

I run a small setup here at 112 Tis Hazari Main Road under the name Ashok Kumar. It’s right on the main stretch, so it stays pretty loud with all the buses and rickshaws going past. I've spent a lot of my life in this area. It’s where I feel most at home, despite the noise. My office is just a simple room with the basics. I don't believe in spending money on fancy furniture when the old stuff works just fine. There’s a lot of paperwork that piles up, and I try to stay on top of it. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat or have a cup of tea. That’s the nice thing about being here for so long. You build those connections with the people around you. It isn't a high-pressure environment. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes things get delayed because life happens, but we always get there in the end. I don't have a website or anything like that. People usually just find me by word of mouth or by seeing the address. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. No bells and whistles. Just me at my desk, day in and day out. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it suits me. I like being right here on the main road where I can see everything going on. It is just a regular life in a busy city.
