Ashish Agarwal

My office is located in New Rajinder Nagar, at numbers 423 and 424. It is a decent-sized space, but I have filled it up with a lot of books and heavy filing cabinets over the many years I have been here. Ashish Agarwal is the name on the door, and it is where I spend the majority of my day. The windows look right out onto the street, and I can hear the local vendors calling out what they are selling every morning. It is a very familiar sound that I have grown to quite like. Inside, the walls are just a plain off-white color, and I have a few old calendars hanging up to keep track of things. My desk is usually covered in piles of papers, pens, and a half-empty cup of cold tea. I try to organize the whole place every Friday afternoon, but by Monday, it is usually back to how it was before. I do not have a big staff, just a couple of people who help me keep the files moving. We do not use any fancy software for everything; we still rely on a lot of paper and ledgers. It just feels more reliable to me that way. People from the neighborhood stop by often, sometimes for work and sometimes just to chat for a few minutes. It is a comfortable place to be. The air conditioner is a bit loud, but it works.
