Ashirwad Banquit

Down in the Vikas Puri area, at A 18B Shiva Enclave in Shiv Vihar, you will find our building. Ashirwad Banquit has been here in New Delhi 59 for a while now. It is a fairly large space, but it looks quite plain when there is nothing going on. We spend a lot of our time just cleaning the floors and making sure the chairs are lined up in straight rows. There is always a faint smell of cleaning supplies or maybe a bit of cooking from the kitchen area in the back. The lights are very bright, which really helps when we are trying to get the place ready. We have a small office tucked into the corner where all the paperwork stays. It is usually a bit of a mess with folders, pens, and old notebooks scattered everywhere. The neighborhood is pretty active, so there is always some noise coming from outside the gates. We have a regular crew of guys who come in to help move the heavy wooden tables and set up the stages. It is hard work, and we all end up feeling pretty tired by the time a long shift is over. We do not have a fancy reception desk; people usually just walk in and find one of us working on something. The kitchen gets really hot in the summer months, but we keep a few fans going to move the air around.
