Asad Grill

Asad Grill is located in Lajpat Nagar II, at F 84. If you have ever been to Lajpat Nagar, you know how crowded and energetic it stays. It is a place that never really seems to sleep much. We are right in the thick of it all. The smell of the grill is usually the first thing people notice when they get close to our spot. It is a small place, not a big fancy restaurant with white tablecloths or anything like that. We have our equipment and a few places for people to stand or sit while they wait for their food. The heat from the grills makes it pretty warm inside, especially during the middle of the Delhi summers. We spend our hours prepping the food and making sure the fire is just right for the day. F 84 is just a small slice of the market, but it is our slice. We see all kinds of people walking by—shoppers, students, and folks just heading home from work. It is a very lively atmosphere to work in every day. Sometimes it gets so busy we can barely hear each other over the noise of the street. We do not have any fancy marketing plans; people just come by because they see the smoke or hear about us from a neighbor. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day long. (249 words)
