Amtex Systems

Our office for Amtex Systems is Room No S 27, in Building 108, tucked away behind the DDA flats in Katwaria Sarai. If you aren't looking for us, you’d probably walk right past. It’s a bit of a maze back there with the narrow lanes and the small shops selling everything from phone chargers to snacks. The room itself isn't very large. We’ve got a couple of long tables pushed against the walls and enough computers to keep everyone busy. We handle systems and technical setups, so there’s usually a pile of old motherboards or hard drives sitting in the corner waiting to be sorted out. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't dress up in suits; it’s mostly jeans and t-shirts here because we’re often crawling under desks to fix wiring. The light in the room isn't the best, so we use desk lamps to see what we’re doing. New Delhi is always noisy, and you can hear the kids playing outside the flats or the scooters zooming by all day long. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work because the location is convenient for most of us. We aren't a big firm with a lobby or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in and talk to whoever is closest. We just focus on getting the systems running for whoever calls us up that day. It's a bit hectic but it's our reality.
