Work takes place at F 205 and 206 in the Paharganj Industrial Area near Pandav Nagar. It’s a gritty part of town, very industrial and loud. We have machines running and the smell of grease and metal is everywhere. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a nice walk. We are focused on the production side of things. I’m usually covered in some kind of dust or oil by the time the afternoon rolls around. The units are a bit dark, so we have these big industrial lights hanging from the ceiling. We share the building with a few other businesses, so there’s always someone moving pallets or loading a van in the alleyway. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, especially with the equipment running. We just open all the doors and hope for a breeze. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs. My desk is right there on the floor near the action so I can see what’s happening. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours. We don’t talk much while the machines are going because you can’t hear anything anyway. We just get the orders out. When we finish a big batch, we might sit outside for a minute just to breathe some air that doesn't taste like metal. It's tough on the body, but we've been doing it this way for years. The floors are stained and the walls are scuffed, but that's just how a real workshop looks after a while.
