Amit Singh

I’m Amit Singh and you can find me over at D 308 in the Karkardooma Court area of Shahdara. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed it gets with people and cars. The court is just a stone's throw away, so there’s always a lot of movement. My office is a small room, tucked away where it’s a little bit quieter, though the city noise still finds its way in. I’ve got shelves full of books and papers that have been there for years. It’s not the most organized looking place, but I know where everything is. I started this because I wanted to work for myself near my home. Most days involve a lot of reading and typing. I don’t use any fancy software, just the basics that get the job done. The light in the hallway is a bit dim, and you have to watch your step on the stairs. It’s a real place where real work happens. I don’t put on an act for anyone. If I’m busy, I’ll tell you. If I have time for a coffee, we can sit. It’s just an honest day's work in a part of the city that never really sleeps. It isn't much to look at but it's where I spend my time and get things done.
