Our office is tucked away in the Railway Colony area over in Mandawali, specifically at 229 32B near Laxmi Nagar. It’s a New Delhi neighborhood that stays fairly active throughout the day. This is where the work for football across India happens, though it’s not always about the big stadium matches you see on TV. Much of the time is spent handling the logistics of leagues and making sure the local clubs have what they need to keep playing. It’s a lot of phone calls and sorting through registration forms for players from every corner of the country. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too flashy, just desks and computers and a lot of folders. We have staff coming in from different parts of the city every morning, navigating the typical Delhi traffic to get here. Football is a big job to manage, and being here in Mandawali gives us a bit of a grounded perspective on things. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the internet slows down, but we just get on with it. We don’t really spend money on fancy decor because the focus is on the games and the schedules. There is always someone checking a score or updating a tournament bracket in one of the rooms. It feels more like a busy community hub than a high-level sports office, which suits us just fine. We have a lot of passion for the game and that keeps us going through the long afternoons.
