Akhil Enterprises

Akhil Enterprises is over in Karol Bagh on Ramjas Road at 60/6. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the shoppers and the rickshaws. Our place is tucked into one of those busy streets where there is always something going on. We deal with various items, mostly things that local businesses or people need for their homes. The shop has a high ceiling, and we have shelves that go all the way up, so we have to use a ladder quite often. It is a bit of an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a little uneven in places. We keep a desk near the front where we do all the paperwork and take calls. The phone rings a lot, mostly people asking if we have something in stock or checking on an order. We have a small stove in the corner for making tea, and there is usually a stack of newspapers on the side. Dealing with the traffic on Ramjas Road is a daily struggle, especially when we are trying to get deliveries in or out. But that is just life in this part of Delhi. We have been here long enough that we don't really notice the noise anymore. We just get on with the work, moving boxes around and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It is a steady business that works for us.
