If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded it is. We are tucked away at 1801/13. It is a traditional trading spot, and the shop is usually overflowing with goods. My family has been in this market for generations. We don't have a specific specialty; we trade in a lot of different items depending on what is in demand. The lanes outside are narrow, and you often have to dodge handcarts and people carrying massive bundles on their heads. Inside the shop, space is very tight. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we use ladders to reach the stock. There is a lot of shouting and haggling going on all day long, which is just how Sadar Bazar works. We keep our records in thick ledgers, and there is always a cup of tea sitting on someone's desk. It’s a bit of a maze in here, and a stranger might get lost, but we know where every single box is located. The lights are a bit dim, and it gets very hot in the summer, but we are used to it. We deal with retailers who come from all over the country to buy in bulk. It is a chaotic environment, but there is a system to the madness. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, buying and selling and keeping the business going.
