Ajay K Jain

Working out of North Avenue near the Supreme Court of India at number 54 is quite a thing. It’s a serious place with a lot of history in the air. Ajay K Jain is here most days. The office is small but it works for what we do. You can see people in black robes walking by all the time. It gets very busy during the middle of the week. There’s always a lot of reading to do and the stacks of paper never seem to get any smaller. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some sturdy shelves and a desk that’s seen better days. The location is the main thing really. Being at North Avenue 54 puts us right in the middle of everything. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to park nearby, so I usually just walk if I can. The tea guy comes around once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It’s a quiet kind of busy, if that makes sense. We don’t put on any airs here. It’s just about getting the paperwork sorted and making sure everything is where it should be. Ajay K Jain has been at this for a while now. It’s just a regular office near the court, doing the usual daily tasks that come up. We just keep going until the light fades and it's time to head home.
