This particular office is a bit different because we operate under the APS Security side of things. The address on the records looks a bit like a mess of letters, but we are definitely here and working. It’s a bit of a strange situation with the way the paperwork is filed, but that’s just how it goes sometimes with big companies and messy databases. We mostly focus on the security staffing side, making sure there are enough people to cover the shifts. It’s a lot of logistical work, checking names and making sure everyone has the right gear and knows where to go. We spend most of our time in the office dealing with the back-end stuff that people don’t usually see. It’s not a very exciting place, just a room with some desks and a lot of logbooks. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp throughout the day. We don’t have a lot of visitors here since most of our work is done over the phone or by dispatching people to other sites. It’s a practical setup, meant for getting things done rather than looking good for anyone. We try to keep the errors to a minimum, even if the address in the system looks a bit weird. We’re just a group of people doing our jobs, making sure the security side of the business stays on track and everything is accounted for. It’s hard work, but we just keep at it.
