You can find us over at A 115 on Vikas Marg. This is where we run Aakriti Interior Decorator. The office is basically a big collection of samples—we’ve got stacks of floor tiles, catalogs of paint colors, and rolls of wallpaper tucked into every corner. It’s a bit of a mess to be honest, but we know where everything is. Most of our time isn't even spent here; we’re usually out at sites, checking on workers or measuring walls. When we are in the office, we’re usually arguing about which shade of blue looks less like a hospital or trying to get a contractor on the phone. It’s a lot of coordination. The building here is okay, though the stairs are a bit steep if you’re carrying heavy books of samples up and down. We’ve been in the decorating business long enough to know that things rarely go exactly as planned, so we just try to stay flexible. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people find us because they saw a neighbor's house we did or a friend told them we were reliable. We just like making rooms look a bit better than they did before. It’s hard work, getting the details right and making sure the finishing is clean. We aren't some big firm with architects in suits. We’re just local people who know how to put a room together.
